How's your memory?
In Mrs. Mercer's class this week, students learned about nonfiction text structures. Students engaged their brains and bodies by cutting, sorting, and gluing features of each text structure to a page with their partners. Here’s the fun part... students were not allowed to look in their notes for the first 8 minutes of the activity! They had to work from memory first, then go back and check using their notebooks.

🏈Players of the Week 🏈
►►POTW◄◄
Braxton Sanders-Sanders is player that does a thankless job, nobody notices the centers play until it goes wrong. Sanders has been a model of consistency from his snaps to his work in the classroom!
T.K Bailey- T.K hurt his knee in the Coweta scrimmage and came back with a huge performance this Thursday against Glenpool! Dominating the line of scrimmage on defense.
Way to play the game, boys! We are proud of you!

•All Around the World•
7th grade geography students in Mrs. Stout's class created posters about physical features in Europe. Then, they used the posters created by their classmates to learn about all of the different features Europe has to offer. This allows students to take ownership of their learning and collaborate to help each other master the content.

•WELCOME TO WRJH• Ms. McNeely-Hukill-7th grade English
Let's get to know Ms. McNeely-Hukill►
My name is Tara McNeely-Hukill and I teach 7th grade English. I am from Claremore! I graduated high school from Claremore-Sequoyah and graduated college from Rogers State University.
I love to read, watch thought-provoking films, travel, and collect retro video games.
Students need a consistent figure in their lives to guide them through difficult concepts and learning standards; I want to be that person for them!
We are glad you are here! Welcome to WRJH!

Mystery Bag Dramatics!
Mrs. Prine's classes worked in groups to plan, write, and act out skits. They were given mystery bags with props and they had to use everything in the bag. This activity focused on working collaboratively and coming up with a narrative that had a beginning, middle, and end. It was so much fun to see what they came up with!

Students in Mrs. Crabtree's class learned all about each other, just by playing a game! What a great way to break the ice and become friends!
