Rock...Paper...Scissors 🥌📄✂ Mrs. Stout’s 7th grade geography students participated in a rock, paper, scissors tournament to learn about different economic systems. Students could risk their “wealth” (in Starbursts) to try and earn more. This simulates a capitalist economy in which private citizens make decisions to earn, save, or spend money with little government control. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

How do students learn to work together as a team? Students in Mrs. Newbury's class each colored a piece of a puzzle, then they had to work together to put the puzzle together. The class talked about what being a leader is, how to work together to solve problems, and that each of us bring important skills to the table. Learning to work together as a team is an important skill for all of us! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

How do you make Advanced Math class fun? Ms. Phariss' class says that MATH IS ALWAYS FUN! Students learned about the perfect square roots with a game called "I Have. Who Has?" Each students has a card with their own problem and answer to someone else's problem. They have to then listen to everyone's problem to figure out which answer is theirs! And they got to play this math game OUTSIDE! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

How do you find the least common multiple? Ask one of Mr. Willard's 6th grade Math students! Classes worked on least common multiples by working together in groups. When students work as a team, they learn to collaborate and compromise toward one goal- or answer. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🏈Players of the Week 🏈 ►►POTW◄◄ Tristan Peters- is one of the best leaders in the entire 7th grade leading the way in the classroom as well as the field! He made key plays in the secondary on defense and had multiple key runs on the offensive end. Caden Hester-In the Revolutionary War there were soldiers called Minutemen. The Minutemen had to be ready at minutes notice to go to war never knowing when their names would get called. Caden had that moment on Thursday, getting his number called on offense and scoring his first touchdown!! Caden is also a fantastic kicker for the Zebras making multiple extra points throughout the night! Way to go, guys! We are so proud of you! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
