A big THANK YOU to First Baptist Church for lending a helping hand! Not only did they help out our teachers by cleaning the workroom and workroom closets, but they also brought SNACKS! We all know those are two great ways to a teacher's heart!
Thank you for thinking of us during state testing! We appreciate you!

Claremore Public Schools Foundation (CPSF) has done an amazing job supporting the Art department at Will Rogers Junior High! With a grant awarded this year, we were able to purchase new tables for students that give them the space they need! They are so excited and ready to draw, paint and color on these amazing tables, and we can't wait to see their work! It's clear that CPSF is making a real difference for the students in Claremore. THANK YOU CPSF!🎨

What do you do for a brain-break after completing your state tests? You make HATS! Mrs. Boyd's class made hats out of recycled newspapers and got to wear them around school! What a fun and creative way to decompress and have fun after the stress of testing!

What do you call a baby🥔potato? A tater tot! Students in Mrs. Perry's science classes ended their genetics unit by making their very own tater tots! Students worked with a partner as “mom & dad” to determine which genes they would each pass on to their spud baby. Then they got creative! After creating their spud baby, students had to determine the probability of passing on each of the particular traits to their “offspring”.

Thank you, First Baptist Church, for our lunch! After we celebrated making GE Model School for the 4th YEAR, we were treated to lunch! What a great way to be celebrated!

Our beginner band class traveled to Skiatook to participate in a band contest. Participating in a band contest is a great way for students to showcase their musical skills and gain valuable performance experience. After performing, they were treated to an end of the year party at Wheels and Thrills! Lots of fun and skating were had by all...even Mr. Pringle and Mrs. Acord! The beginners did great and we can't wait to see how they will succeed in band next year!

It's ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT'S DAY! Thank you for all you do for our school, our students, and our staff! We'd be lost without you!

Getting out of the classroom and into nature is a great way to learn about the environment and ecology! Our 7th graders got to take a field trip to the RSU Reserve.
The RSU Reserve is a perfect place for students to explore and discover the wonders of the natural world. Students learned about different ecosystems, plants, animals, and the interactions between them. Plus, being outdoors and getting some sunshine is always a bonus!

Our 6th grade teachers want to say a big THANK YOU for all those who provided snacks for "Solar Day"!🌘 They enjoyed lots of snacks- like Capri SUN, SUNNY D, SUN chips, MOON pies, and STAR crunch! YUM! They were out of this WORLD!🌎

In Ms. Dooley's class students documented the conditions outside before, during and after the eclipse to compare, contrast and discuss what they observed and how it affected their surroundings. They also enjoyed "space" themed snacks and a fun competitive game of "pin the moon on the sun"!

Welcome back, Edison! 🐢 After a two-month hibernation, Mrs. Simmonds' Russian Tortoise classroom pet is slowly emerging from his slumber, much to the delight of his classmates! As part of his post-hibernation care, students took Edison outside, where he warmed up in the sun, stretched his legs, and enjoyed a well-deserved snack.
As a Russian Tortoise, Edison has reached his full size, but that doesn't take away the joy he brings to the classroom. His small stature allows for easy handling and interaction with students, making him an ideal companion for learning about responsibility, empathy, and the wonders of the animal kingdom.
