Digital Video Editing classes wrapped up their unit in Photography and learning about the exposure triangle with a long exposure assignment! Students worked in groups to make different shapes and letters using glow sticks, flash lights, and Christmas lights wrapped around a baton. Thanks again to CPSF for funding the grant to purchase the class set of cameras used here!

ZTV had the opportunity to tour News on 6 in Tulsa and hear more about how television and radio stations operate. The class got to visit with Cliff and Carly from '92.9 The River' and hear about what preparing for a live radio show looks like, and visit with meteorologist Alan Crone who shared about preparing for reporting on severe weather. After the official tour, ZTV met up with Claremore alumni Matt Rahn who is a multimedia journalist at News On 6. Matt gave a demonstration of the news drone and answered questions about the process of reporting news and operating the camera in the SkyNews 6 helicopter.
If you are interested in tips on how to raise your ACT score the Chad Cargill workshop is available on Oct. 17th at the Pryor NTC campus. The cost is $40 and the workshop is from 9a.m. to 12:00p.m. To reserve your seat call the Pryor NTC campus. More information can be found in the counseling office.

Claremore High School football players are taking a unique approach to express their gratitude towards their teachers. On game day, the players are giving their jerseys to their teachers as a gesture of appreciation. This act of kindness is a way of recognizing the hard work and dedication of the educators who have played an important role in their lives.

October 13th marks the 248th birthday of the U.S. Navy. The Claremore High School NJROTC celebrated by hosting a cake cutting ceremony. As part of tradition, the oldest sailor gets the first piece of cake. The second piece of cake is then given to the youngest sailor. This signifies the passing of knowledge from the old to the young. Chief Jasper, 22 year Navy veteran and Naval Science Chief at CHS, and the youngest future sailor Cadet Andrew Hickman enjoy a piece of cake celebrating the Navy’s birthday today.

The Claremore Indian Education Committee(IEC) will have a special meeting on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 6-6:30 p.m. at the Enrollment Center at 101 West 11th. The meeting will be held to hold the JOM Annual Election.
To serve on the JOM IEC, a person must be the parent or guardian of a JOM-verified child. School board members or spouses, school administrators or spouses, and school employees or spouses can not serve on the committee.
Any parent, community member, or other interested may attend the meeting.
