Meet the Coaches
Alan Douthitt, Assistant Coach
Has been married to Betsy for 24 years and has two great kids, Tyler and Abbie. Douthitt has been teaching and coaching for 26 years. He has coached football, swimming, soccer, cross country and track. Douthitt loves his wife, hunting, fishing, and reading. Also his favorite show is Peaky Blinders and The Office.
John Dexter, Assistant Coach
is a lifelong Zebra, having attended Claremore from kindergarten through his senior year. He comes from a family of Zebras; both of his parents and both of his brothers graduated from Claremore. He went to college at Oklahoma State University. Dexter graduated from OSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies and minors in Coaching Science and Psychology. While at Oklahoma State, he started his coaching career at Perkins Tryon High School, coaching Wide Receivers as a volunteer coach. Coach Dexter coached the Demons to two quarter final appearances. He coached at Perkins for five years coaching Football, Wrestling, and Track. Coach Dexter's current role with the Claremore Zebra football program is Tight Ends coach and 7thgrade football assistant. He also coaches Track in the spring.
Kimberley McKinnon, Assistant Coach
graduated from Marlboro High School in 2013 where I was a varsity Track and Field athlete and captain. I held four school relay records and two district relay records. I was named Marlboro High School Athlete of the Year in 2013 and I was a repeat New Jersey county, shore, regional, and state champion in the 100 meter and 200 meter dash. I continued my athletic career as a scholarship D1 athlete at Monmouth University where I was a short- sprinter and javelin thrower.
