They flipped water bottles to explore lab safety and the scientific method. 💦 By understanding the factors that affect the bottle's rotation and landing, they not only improved their flipping skills but also learned the importance of safety in a laboratory environment. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Simmonds' classes are working in stations to learn how to be safe in the science lab 👨‍🔬🧪🔬 Today in class, students took a hands-on approach to learning about safety in the science lab. They were divided into groups and rotated through different stations where they learned about the proper use of equipment, how to handle chemicals, and what to do in case of an emergency. It was so much fun to explore the different activities and to see science come to life in a safe and controlled environment. Students can’t wait to put their new knowledge to use in our next lab experiment! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Ms. Dooley's STEM classes took on an exciting challenge: building the longest tower! Students put their critical thinking skills to the test, working together and learning new classroom procedures along the way. Ms. Fudge and Dr. Young’s classes joined forces for a class problem solving and creative thinking by coming up with ideas on how a personal item could solve certain problems such as teaching aliens, getting lost in the woods, and lost cafeteria utensils!
