Students in Mr. Gregg's class got to have some fun with water bottles- they turned a fun and popular trend into an educational experience! They flipped water bottles to explore lab safety and the scientific method. 💦 By understanding the factors that affect the bottle's rotation and landing, they not only improved their flipping skills but also learned the importance of safety in a laboratory environment. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Simmonds' classes are working in stations to learn how to be safe in the science lab 👨‍🔬🧪🔬 Today in class, students took a hands-on approach to learning about safety in the science lab. They were divided into groups and rotated through different stations where they learned about the proper use of equipment, how to handle chemicals, and what to do in case of an emergency. It was so much fun to explore the different activities and to see science come to life in a safe and controlled environment. Students can’t wait to put their new knowledge to use in our next lab experiment! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

REMINDER - In honor of the Labor Day holiday, CPS will be closed on Monday, September 2nd. "Before the reward, there must be labor. You plant before you harvest. You sow in tears before you reap joy." Ralph Ransom Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. The labor movement created it in the late 19th century, and it became a federal holiday in 1894. This weekend, as we spend time with our families and friends, celebrate the value of an honest day's work, the people who built America, and our nation's advancements because of the American labor force. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
