Mrs. Tietz's class have been studying the organelles in the cell. They have spent the week going over each organelle and the differences between plant and animal cells. This project was done completely outside of school. They had the option to make a 3D cell, cell factory in a shoe box, cell t-shirt, cell island brochure, or a mobile. They could use any supplies found around their house, including food! We have some great projects!

Dr. Julie Angle PhD, Assistant Professor of Science Education at Oklahoma State University paid a visit to Mrs. Rahn’s STEM classroom to teach students about how “Science is a way of knowing how scientific knowledge is generated”. She used various demonstrations to show students that as scientists we can be biased because of our experiences and background. Dr. Angle taught us that science is a human endeavor and asked students how do we overcome biases? THANK YOU Dr. Angle! @OSUEHA
