The Pumpkin Elf played a few tricks in Kindergarten, students tried to find him and determine if they were being “tricked” or if they were in for a “treat”. However, he stayed a few steps ahead while Kindergarteners went on Scavenger Hunt with rhymes and clues. The Pumpkin Elf had the theme of Orange all over the classroom and he left fun treats such as cheese balls or Pumpkin Poop! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

In Miss Bart’s 5th grade class they brought real-world applications into the classroom today! Students had the opportunity to visit the Safari Restaurant. They were given a menu and decided on an appetizer, an entrée and a drink for them and a friend, and a dessert. They found the total of their meal, added in a tip, and found if their meal or their friend's meal was more expensive. We ended the activity with a snack at the Restaurant. What a fun way to round out our adding and subtracting decimals unit! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
