SNAG Golf is a first touch program to teach the game of golf to people of all ages. Coach Johnson set up SNAG Golf with driving and putting stations. This activity teaches hand eye coordination, striking an object and fine motor skills. The Snag Golf set was purchased with a grant from the Claremore Public Schools Foundation. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
Roosa 2nd graders read the book Balloons over Broadway by Melissa Sweet. This book tells about Tony Sarg, a puppeteer who invented the balloons that were used in the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Students were inspired to make their own balloons and have a parade at Roosa! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
What is the best reward BEST to earn at school? I know! Lunch with the principal! Olivia cashed in her Starbucks for this special lunch with our favorite principal Mrs. Willard! Students earn Starbucks for being recognized by the Roosa Staff for a variety of good behaviors including following expectations and being a good role model. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
Mrs. Shaw’s class did a Monster Theme for the month of October. Mrs. Cardwell joined along and brought a coding robot called Ozobot who teaches coding! Each student tried to catch a Monster with a TRAP! Watch out for Ozobot! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
Kindergarten through 2nd went to the Stephen Fite concert at the PAC. Stephen Fite is an award-winning musician and writer. His music is full of learning with an upbeat music that ranges from rock to Reggae. He encourages students to get out of their seats and learn with movement and song. Students and staff dressed up as jungle creatures! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Wednesday Walking PAL’s has been canceled for tomorrow, November 16, 2022.
If you are wondering…. What is Wednesday Walking PAL's? It is a Volunteers for Youth organization that meets in the east parking lot of St Cecilia Catholic Church at 7:15AM to begin walking to school at 7:20AM. At the Roosa Veterans Day assembly the 5th graders told about historical events that helped shape our nation. Throughout the assembly pre-k through 5th graders shared poems and songs focused on Veterans Day. Roosa was delighted to host such a wonderful event for the Veterans! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Roosa’s and Claremont’s After-School Robotics Team met with the 6th grade’s Robotics Team at the high-school to be mentored by Mr. Isenbart’s high-school Robotics Team. During this first meeting, our students were introduced to the structure of an Engineering Notebook, the roles and responsibilities of team members, and were shown their completed robots. Before we left, the high-schoolers spent time explaining the controls to drive a robot and let them take turns practicing on their VEX game field. The kids were so excited and can’t wait until we go back! The high-school team was absolutely incredible! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

JA Biztown is a simulated town designed to teach students about being part of a community and how working together and taking care of their finances is rewarding and fun. To prepare for the visit the students interview for jobs, run political campaigns and learn how to manage their money for the day. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
