High school sports are not just about the games; they also teach students the importance of giving back to their community and being good people. Coach Hurt effectively instills these values in his football players. Recently, a few of the football players volunteered as Celebrity Readers for our afternoon PreK class. The young children loved it, and so did the "big" kids!

Roosa Native American Club students are spending time researching one of the 37 tribes located in Oklahoma. Each student chose a tribe, outside of their own, to create a presentation. They are looking into things such as the history of the tribe’s name, geographical area, tribal landmarks, size of the tribe, current happenings of the tribe, familial clans, famous people within the tribe, and so many more things.
This deep dive into our history is vital to preserving cultural stories and knowledge.
