Tuesday, December 10th is Dewey Decimal System Day, a time to recognize and celebrate the invention of the Dewey Decimal System. This library classification system was created in 1876 by Melvil Dewey. We read a book in the library about Melvil Dewey and his system.

We are currently far from our goal of collecting 1,500 cans, and the drive ends next week! So far, we have gathered only 981 cans. Remember, the top classes from Pre-K to 2nd grade and 3rd to 5th grade will receive special rewards, including extra recess, ice cream, and a hot chocolate party!
