Coach Davis's Physical Science classes engaged in a practical exercise by measuring their walking speed, thereby reinforcing their comprehension of fundamental concepts like speed, velocity, and acceleration.

Ms. Golbek's Honors Physical Science class is beginning its unit on Motion and Forces. This distance and displacement activity is an interactive way to introduce changes in position by calculating distance and displacement of their own pathways while continuing to sharpen their skills of using scientific equipment to make accurate measurements.

Observing a solar eclipse fosters curiosity and sparks interest in the natural world, encouraging students to explore and understand the universe beyond their textbooks.

Since 2015, the Hope Race has inspired positive change in the local community, and provided critical funds for the classrooms of Claremore High School. The Hope Race as allowed funding for essential school equipment for every subject, allowing students to engage in the educational opportunities they deserve. This year, we hope to achieve that same success. All donations, sponsorships, and proceeds will directly benefit the classrooms of Claremore High School.

In collaboration with Hillcrest Claremore Hospital, The Biomedical Innovations & Technology class at Claremore High School has been visiting Hillcrest hospital as part of the Biomedical Science Program. Our thanks to Jason Jones, CEO and Melissa Ayers, BSN, RN, - who have provided a program of study and immersion for the Biomed students. Our visits included a tour of the Emergency Department and a discussion with ER staff on how the department functions during emergencies. Students experienced a detailed presentation of nursing professions by Melissa Ayers (Education Coordinator). The students have toured the Pharmacy and discussed pharmacy procedures and best practices with the hospital pharmacist. Students attended lectures and completed activities with the Infection Control Nurse and explored Infection Prevention Professions. Our final visit, scheduled in April, will conclude with a tour of the Diagnostic Imaging center, and a lecture from the Director of Quality addressing issues and the different Quality Control professions. We are thankful for the partnership with Hillcrest Hospital to stimulate the imagination of our Biomed students and introduce the many healthcare opportunities located in our healthcare systems.
