Art Club Students had the privilege of traveling to The Art Museum Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, AR. Students went through a guided Mindfulness and Art tour. This tour encouraged students to try and block all of the distractions of our daily life and enjoy the artwork before them and the place around them. As teachers, Mrs. Hoffer and Ms. Mercer teach their students about Space and how to create it in an artwork, but they also discuss how the space and artwork is housed in has a huge impact on a viewers relationship with the Art. Students had the opportunity to experience this concept on this field trip!

Mrs. Grubbs's AP Euro class is hard at work learning about the Industrial Revolution! In this hands-on learning activity students were broken into 6 groups: labor unions, capitalists, communists, socialists, factory owners, and factory workers. They were given a reading passage and could research outside sources to provide evidence based on their group to determine how they would feel about working conditions, urbanization, class structure, and then the Industrial Revolution overall. After they created their groups manifesto they presented to the class, had a class discussion on how their groups felt about each section, and then to summarize it all together they had to “bring it together” to answer the key question: “Was the Industrial Revolution more beneficial or harmful to society?” They came out of character and back to a student in 2024 to recap what each group thought and then answered which perspective (s) they agreed the most with and why? Considering both short and long term effects.
