Bill Salwaechter, the former CPS Superintendent from 1977 to 1993, demonstrated incredible generosity and commitment by donating his 12th gallon of blood this month at the OBI blood drive, despite being 93 years old. His dedication to helping others through regular blood donation is truly commendable and serves as an inspiring example to the community. Such milestones not only highlight the importance of blood donation but also showcase the impact that individuals can have through simple yet profound acts of kindness and selflessness.

The Bluejacket Scholarship was established by Donald and Estelle Bluejacket and is administered by the Claremore Public Schools Foundation. Having no children of their own, they arranged to leave a lasting gift to Claremore students. It was the Bluejacket's wish to give back to Claremore students in a meaningful and lasting way.
In 2005, their estate was given to the Claremore Public Schools Foundation to invest for future Claremore students' generations.
2007 Sam and Hazel Lessley contributed substantially to the Bluejacket Scholarship endowment. The Bluejackets directed the Claremore Public Schools Foundation to award scholarships to students "with proven records of academic achievement."

Congratulations to Coach Cunningham, teacher and coach at CHS, and his wife on the birth of
their son.
CHS wrestler, Mason Gillispie, has put in a tremendous amount of work in the wrestling room and as a result he qualified for both Greco-Roman and Freestyle in Fargo, ND. The Fargo tournament is the largest showcase tournament in the nation for wrestlers. This is where the best of the best are! Additionally, Mason will be representing Team Oklahoma at Junior National Duals in Tulsa. This speaks volumes about his skill, determination, and commitment to the sport. Please extend my congratulations to Mason and wish him all the best in his upcoming competitions!

❤What has been your favorite part about returning as a staff member?
I love teaching former classmates and the students who had Mrs. Riggs (my wife) in kindergarten. I appreciate that the school continues to provide world-class facilities and opportunities that support all our students. I get to teach something I truly love: Biomedical Science. It is very gratifying to see some of our students choosing to pursue medical career pathways. It is a significant benefit to our home community.

One of my favorite memories is the student body gathering in the "pit" at the High School to play ping pong daily at lunch. High school was very enjoyable.
👩🏻🏫What was your favorite class or teacher?
My favorite teacher was Alger Flood. My favorite class was Biology.
