Winner, winner chicken dinner!!!!
Winner of what, you ask?
This excited friend is one of our newest winners of everyone's favorite Rise & Shine game:
THAT'S
MY
COAT!!
Each week, we take a few minutes during rise and shine to feature jackets from lost and found that have been forgotten by their people.
With all of the back and forth temps this season, remind your kiddos to check lost and found and to keep an eye out on Friday mornings to see if they're the next winner of
THAT'S
MY
COAT!!!!

When a class presents rise and shine, introducing Mrs. Willard for the morning is one of the most coveted spots. If the excitement on their faces didn't give it away, this morning was no exception!
Imagine the surprise in the room when they discovered that Mrs. Willard looked a bit...um...different this morning!
Laughs were had, hugs were given, and eyes stayed *mostly* dry! 😅
His ability to have fun is just one of MANY reasons we are so glad Mr. Crum is back on home base here at Roosa! And who would have thought he'd have such an uncanny resemblance to Mrs. Willard!? 😳😅
Great job this morning, Mrs. Bacon's class!

Ms. Johnson
Coach
Best PE teacher there ever was
She's known by many things, but many may not know the additional role she plays. For any bus rider, the first smiling face to start and end their school day belongs to this incredible woman!
In addition to ensuring safe transport to and from school, she freely offers a friendly face and warm welcome to each and every student who comes aboard.
Encouraging safe procedures, kindness to fellow bus riders, and showing that good deeds are noticed far and wide, Coach has implemented Rider of the Week rewards. Each week, a student is recignized for going above and beyond and setting great examples. At the end of the month, each name is put into a drawing, and the name pulled wins a lunch of their choice delivered by Coach herself!
To all bus drivers - especially our amazing Roosa bus driver, Coach Johnson - happy bus drivers appreciation day! Thank you for all you do!

Our School Resource Officers have a valuable and versatile role in our schools. They offer a genuine sense of safety and protection in potentially stressful moments while being able to share friendly, kind gestures with students who might be unfamiliar with all that officers do.
It is no secret that we are a little competitive here at Roosa, so it works out really well that we have the best of the best in resource officers as well!
Officer Hagen, thank you for all you do, and thanks for giving 5th grade every chance available to beat you in arm wresting... maybe someday!

Good afternoon, Roosa families!
We hope you've not had the misfortune of finding out personally, but there are some nasty bugs and viruses making their way around town this time of year.
Just a reminder, while we trudge through this ugly sick season, if you're kiddo is vomiting, has diarrhea, or is running a fever, please keep them home. Please know they will be missed while they are recovering, but they must be fever/vomit/diarrhea free for 24 hours without medication before returning.
Well wishes and many thanks to you all! Stay healthy!

School counselors offer such unique contributions to their sites each and every day. From analyzing data in order to best serve students, to academic lessons, to guidance for social/emotional growth, their days stay busy, and their hearts stay full.
In Claremore, our schools have the gift of some pretty out of this world counselors, but here at Roosa, we're pretty positive we've got the best with Mrs. Kerr!
This week, we celebrate National School Counseling Week. Please join us in thanking Mrs. Kerr, for doing such an amazing job! We are so lucky she is here!!

There are 100 pennies in a dollar, 100 years in a century, and 100 yards in a football field.
...but most importantly, weve finished 100 days of school!!!
Several people (students and staff alike!) showed up with some extra gray hair, but we think they're all getting around pretty great for 100 year olds! 🧓👵
