Mrs. Troyer teaches 1st grade students in Mrs. Peck's class how to browse for books on the shelves! It's harder than it looks! Students are taught to pull out the book enough to see the photo on the cover, but not all the way out so if they don't like the cover, they can easily push it back in!
This helps Claremont kids to be responsible book browsers!

1st graders LOVE to eat their math!!
As a fun way to make math lessons more hands on and engaging, Mrs. Ward allows students to "eat their math." This gives students a visual, hands on, way to understand subtraction.
