MEET MS. BROWNING

CLAREMORE ZEBRA, Picture of Ms. Browning coming soon.

Welcome to Claremont Library, I am so excited to be back at Claremont as your Library Media Specialist.

This is my second year at Claremont, and my 32nd year of teaching. I graduated with my bachelors and masters from Northeastern State University. I previously taught in Tulsa Public Schools and Broken Arrow Public Schools. I have taught special education and general education, Pre-K through 8th grade, all subjects. I was previously a Library Media Specialist at Chouteau Fine Arts Academy in Tulsa, where I was site teacher of the year. My passion is reading and cultivating a love of reading to my students. One of my favorite quotes is, “If you don’t like to read you haven’t found the right book.” By J.K. Rowling

I love to spend time with my family and friends. I work part time at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. This allows me to see all of the shows. I especially enjoy Broadway musicals. Two of my favorites are Lion King and Hamilton. I enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures.

I love to go to museums and concerts. My favorite music is 80’s rock. My greatest joy is reading books. A few of my favorite children’s books are Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst, The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler, and the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.

I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind of library.
