3rd graders LOVE board games and puzzles!
Thanks to a grant from our CPS Foundation, puzzles, board games and card games are a part of some of the things students get to enjoy while waiting to test, or once finished with testing!
Thank you, Claremore Public Schools Foundation!!

IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER TEACHER TAKEOVER
On Wednesday, Mrs. Jessica Peck, a teacher at Claremont, will take over the CPS social media stories to give us a peek into the life of a 1st-grade teacher.
Follow CPS on INSTAGRAM! Over the next few weeks, we will have several students/teachers "takeover" the stories and show you what it's like to be a part of the Zebra Family!

4th grade students had a chance to "GLOW what they KNOW" in preparation for state testing this week! Teachers set up black lights, and students did work on neon paper, used highlighters, and neon sticky notes - and also some wore neon clothing! It was a fun day of review for all involved!

When your principal and assistant principal take the time to create relationships with every student, you know you're in the right place.

We want to give a huge shout out to RCB Bank who donated snacks for all of our testing students! Because of their generosity, each testing student will receive a snack before they test!
Thank you RCB!

Taxation Without Representation!!
5th grade students in Ms. Bailey's class participated in a simulation that allowed them to experience the frustrations of the American colonists under British rule.
They were taxed for things such as having siblings, wearing jeans, and eating lunch. Their reactions were the best!
Afterward, they connected their experiences to our readings in social studies. They discussed how the tax laws affected the colonists, how they reacted, and how they led to the American Revolution.

Meet Mrs. Clark.
Mrs. Clark is another of our amazing paraprofessionals on our Reading Team. Before becoming a paraprofessional, Mrs. Clark was a classroom teacher. She brings years of experience and dedication to each student she interacts with. In her time with her students, Mrs. Clark works together with the student to help him/her reach their reading goals. Every student who has been in her group loves their time with her. We are grateful to have Mrs. Clark at Claremont!
Give her a shout out in the comments!
