Mrs. Howell’s 2nd-grade class hosted Rise and Shine a few weeks ago. During their presentation, they reminded us that we all need someone to lean on. Great job, Mrs. Howell's class! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

With the new year comes some exciting additions! This month, we're introducing the treasure chest in the cafeteria. Twice a month, students will check the bottom of their lunch trays to see if they are the lucky winners. If you find the sticker, you get to pick a prize from the treasure chest! There are two winners per grade. Not only is it fun to search, but it's also a great way to encourage students to finish their lunch so they can take a peek at the bottom of their tray! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

When we’ve had a break from school, it’s always a good idea to go over procedures. After we refreshed our memory, it was time to move on to something a little more fun! Dancing and singing to start our day always puts a smile on our faces. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

As a Great Expectations school, we focus on a different life principle every month. Our life principle for January is "Self-Control." Self-control involves the correction or regulation of oneself for the sake of improvement. In PE, Mrs. Steuart has been helping students understand the importance of self-control in their everyday lives. “All successes begin with self-discipline. It starts with you…” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Go Hillcats! Rogers State University welcomed Claremont Elementary to the Expo Center for Claremont Day! Students were treated to lunch and snacks while they watched the Lady Hillcats dominate against Randall University. At the half RSU gave away 2 bikes, 2 signed basketballs and we were all excited to watch our very own Mrs. Peck and Miss. Longhorn battle it out at the freethrow line! The Lady Hillcats, their head coach Hunter Hillcat even took the time to high-five students! It was a wonderful day at the court! Thank you to RSU, one of our wonderful partners in education, for making this day special for our students. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
