With the new year comes some exciting additions! This month, we're introducing the treasure chest in the cafeteria. Twice a month, students will check the bottom of their lunch trays to see if they are the lucky winners. If you find the sticker, you get to pick a prize from the treasure chest! There are two winners per grade. Not only is it fun to search, but it's also a great way to encourage students to finish their lunch so they can take a peek at the bottom of their tray! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

A delightful moment unfolded as some of our kindergarten students enjoyed a special lunch with their teacher, Mrs. Kinzer. It was a well-earned reward for these young friends, and Mrs. Kinzer loved the company! We are thankful for our caring teachers here at Claremont. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Buckaroo Bart visited our 3rd graders last week to help them learn about Oklahoma’s favorite son, Will Rogers. He demonstrated a few rope tricks and shared information about the 2024 Will Rogers Memorial Museum 3rd Grade Diorama Competition! 3rd-grade students from around the county are challenged to explore their creative side and create a diorama depicting Will and his extraordinary life. As a Great Expectations school, we focus on a different life principle every month. Our life principle for January is "Self-Control." Self-control involves the correction or regulation of oneself for the sake of improvement. Claremore Public School District school sites and offices will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 16th. It’s an old-fashioned SNOW DAY! There will be no classes. Your only assignment is to MAKE A MEMORY. With snow covering the ground outside, Mrs. Harrison’s 4th-grade class took the opportunity to have a math paper snowball fight! Students had to solve the math problem on the paper. If they got yellow snow, they had to do 15 jumping jacks. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Ward's 1st-grade class has been working on their numbers! Numbers 1-120, to be exact. They took to the hall to sort their numbers and put them in order. This is a fun way for our students to learn not only their numbers but also the importance of working together! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🦔🐍 WILD WONDERS ON WHEELS! 🚐✨ The Mobile Zoo rolled into town, bringing some fascinating creatures for us to meet up close and personal! 🦓🐢 From slithering reptiles to spiky hedgehogs, Claremont students were in awe of these magnificent animals! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Go Hillcats! Rogers State University welcomed Claremont Elementary to the Expo Center for Claremont Day! Students were treated to lunch and snacks while they watched the Lady Hillcats dominate against Randall University. At the half RSU gave away 2 bikes, 2 signed basketballs and we were all excited to watch our very own Mrs. Peck and Miss. Longhorn battle it out at the freethrow line! The Lady Hillcats, their head coach Hunter Hillcat even took the time to high-five students! It was a wonderful day at the court! Thank you to RSU, one of our wonderful partners in education, for making this day special for our students. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

CPS school sites and central office will be closed on Monday, January 15th, in honor of the Martin Luther King holiday.
