Welcome Mr. Robert Castillo. Robert is one of our new Spanish teachers at the high school. He received his Bachelor's degree from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO. Before accepting his job at CHS he worked many first responder jobs. These jobs included being a firefighter/paramedic for the Broken Arrow Fire Department, a paramedic at Saint Francis Pediatric Emergency Center, and a combat medic/senior instructor at the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Robert is currently still serving in the Oklahoma Army National Guard and has served our country for almost 20 years. He has also spent some time working as a Children and Youth Minister at Sequoyah Baptist Church. Mr. Castillo loves working with the students at Claremore High School and watching them grow as individuals as the school year progresses.

🏊‍♀️ CHS swims their way to V-I-C-T-O-R-Y at 6A swim meet. 🥇🥇 Sylvia Admire bringing home the gold in the 200 freestyle and the 100 freestyle. 🥇🥉 Brenlyn bringing home the gold the 100 back and bronze in the 200 freestyle. Both swimmers heading to the State Swim Meet in Edmond on February 18th-19th.

Welcome Ms. Elizabeth Wickham. Elizabeth is our new Biology and Physical Science teacher at the high school. She got her Bachelor's degree in Science at Rogers State University. Before accepting her job as a teacher at CHS she worked mostly in finances. Ms. Wickham has participated in a lot of volunteer work such as volunteering at her local church leading worship and helping with the youth activities, as well as volunteering at the Food Bank in Tulsa. She has also served as a medical counselor at a camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes. Elizabeth wanted to become a teacher so that she can share her love of Biology with others and try to inspire the students in such a way that they might also consider pursuing a career in that field.

Ethan Grimett selected as All-State Defensive Lineman. “I'm so proud of Ethan. Ethan played linebacker for years, but he was willing to switch to the defensive line his senior year because that is where his team needed him. His unselfish attitude paid off in a big way. I look forward to coaching Ethan one last time this summer in the All-State game.” - Coach Hurt The All-State game East vs West will be Jul 29, 2022. Of course, we all know moms are their kids’ biggest fan, and in this family that is definitely true. “This was his first year in the position and to get picked for All-State speaks volumes of his work ethic. Our family is so proud of you Big E! A huge thanks to the coaches who have poured into him over the years. Welcome Ms. Leah Johnson! Leah is our new ZTV and Digital Video Editing teacher at the high school. She got her Bachelor's degree from Harding University in Electronic Media Production. This is her first year teaching, but before accepting her job at CHS she worked as the university videographer/photographer at the University of North Alabama. Leah is excited to share her love and knowledge of video production with her students.

We have been blessed with some amazing new teachers this school year and we’d like to introduce them to our Zebra family. Welcome Mrs. Cori Meza. Cori is one of our new Spanish teachers at the high school. She currently teaches Spanish I. Cori got her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education from NSU. This is her first year teaching, but before accepting her job as a full-time teacher she subbed for many classes at CHS. She loved working with the staff at CHS and when the opportunity arose she was ready to join our Zebra family.
