Thank you to the U.S. Army for bringing AS11, a remarkable 64-foot, 30-ton tractor/trailer asset, to our school. The eight virtual reality helicopter stations provided an immersive experience where participants teamed up in Operation Firebreak to combat forest fires, offering a unique and hands-on perspective of the challenges faced by pilots. The use of Oculus headsets and motion-actuating chairs made the simulation both thrilling and realistic. We appreciate the Army's commitment to engaging and educating the community through this advanced technology.

In AP Euro students had an opportunity to research the English Civil War and showcase their mastery through student choice of either creating a poster or creating and acting out a skit. They needed to include key identification of terms, people and events to help teach other students of their assigned topic. This will be followed up by a gallery walk to ensure that all students are exposed to various steps that led England from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy.

This was a blood typing lab we set up to engage students in forensic science. First, they performed a presumptive test to confirm that the substance in question was actually blood. Next, samples were gathered from both the persons of interest and the victim. Students then used these samples to determine blood types and identify potential suspects who might have been at the crime scene. The lab followed a structured experimental design process, helping students learn about blood cells and their critical role in the human body.

In Female Fitness class, students are diving into the study of bones and muscles, gaining a deeper understanding of how the body moves and functions. They're exploring the different muscle groups and how they work together to support physical activity and strength. By learning about the skeletal system, students can also see how bones provide structure and protection. This knowledge is helping them develop a more informed approach to fitness and exercise, promoting better health and performance.
