Claremore Public School Foundation Grant Patrol came to visit us this morning!!! They were able to award 2 of our teachers with the funds for the grants they applied for. Mrs. Beasley/3rd grade team and Mrs. Bennett were the lucky winners!!! Be sure to check back to see what they are going to get with the grant money!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Did you go watch the Musical Oklahoma last night at the PAC??? Some of our Catalayah students and Mr. J are in it!! You can still watch it 7:30 p.m Friday and Saturday at the Robson Performing Arts Center 101 E. Stuart Roosa. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for senior citizens and students. Mrs. Roller’s first grade class recently finished reading Because of Winn Dixie. In the story they had a party with pickles, litmus lozenges (candy), egg salad sandwiches, and punch!! They recreated the party! Mrs. Roller was surprised by how many of them tried everything. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Did you celebrate Earth Day??? Mrs. Stolusky’s kindergarten class and Mrs. Maxville’s 5th grade class celebrated together. They read a story out in the pergola together and threw our seed bombs near the pond! Then we walked around the school and picked up trash. 🌍🌿🌱🌾 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

More great things are happening at Catalayah!! Mrs. Eidson submitted a grant to Verdigris Valley Electric Cooperative and it was funded!!!! They came and presented a check to her earlier this week. She will be purchasing Reading and math games for entire school’s WIN groups!! All of Catalayah will benefit from this!!! Thanks Verdigris Valley Electric Cooperative!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

State Testing started yesterday. Even though testing is only for 3rd-5th grades, the entire school gets to be involved. Our younger grades made goody bags to encourage our students that are testing. They decorated the bags with encouraging words and filled the bags with candy and mints. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

What a great way to start our day!!! We had an exciting Rise and Shine assembly to celebrate our 10 years as a GE Model School!!! Mrs. Early was here to present our 10 year certificate!!! We loved having the special guests and being all together for the assembly!!!! Great job Teachers, Staff and Mrs. Shuck on this wonderful accomplishment!!! I have something really cool to tell you. Mrs. Ritter's 5th grade class wrote AND PUBLISHED a book!!!! The class voted on what the book would be about. The students came up with the topics or ideas and then they had a class vote. The topic that won was.....animals!! Each student picked an animal they wanted to write about. They shared facts they learned about their animal and even drew a picture!! They each had the option to order a book and they even ordered one for the library so all Catalayah students can check it out and read it!!!! This is so cool!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
