Happy New Year from Claremore Public Schools. As we enter into a new year, we all seem to take time to reflect on our lives, habits, choices from the past and contemplate how they impact our future. This reflection can lead to new inspiration, goals, resolutions, or a new focus. Instead of adding to it, some consideration may lead to removing obstacles or habits from our lives. Either way, we are all looking for a positive change.
Whether you choose a resolution, a goal, a word - we'd love for you to share it with us on our FB page and maybe inspire others.

Before the break we were able to hand out a lot of Character Counts certificates!!! Every student that received one was announce during Rise and Shine! Here are just a few students there have been showing off their exceptional Catalayah Character during school!!

Mrs. Hall got the chance to get pre-k students in the stem lab!!! How cool is that?!?
She started teaching them about her sphero robots!!! The pre-k students get to use the sphero tilt option. Sphero is your own personal robot that you program or control with a tilt, touch, or swing of your tablet.
Mrs. Hall let them use their robots to paint a picture!!! Each group used their tablet to control their robots and spread the paint.

2nd grade WIN time. We love this break in our day for the kids to work on exactly what they need!!! Electronics help make learning fun with the different apps and games for the kids to work on.

During free time in Mrs. Brassfield’s computer class students love to explore. Some students like to get on Google earth and visit places all over the world. Of course they like to check out their house and grandmas houses too!!! Another popular free time choice is the Santa Tracker!! Have your kids checked to see where Santa is lately??

Kindergarten WIN time!!! During WIN (what I need) kindergarten students get the time to practice letters, work on motor and social skills or anything else they need to work on. WIN time is a great addition to our daily schedule.

Mrs. Bonham took her 4th and 5th grade GT students on a field trip.
They took snacks for the kids at the Safenet Shelter. They also collected nine bags of clothing to donate. Their class focuses on three Life Principles: Compassion, Service, and Esprit de Corp.
