🚌💛 Bus Drivers 💛🚌 We have enjoyed celebrating our Bus Drivers this week!!! We were even able to take lunch to the guys in charge of it all yesterday. They deserve so much more!!! We are very thankful for the amazing team and leaders we have in our transportation dept!!! These kids will always remember how special their bus drivers are!! Here is what some of our teachers had to say about their bus drivers when they were kids! Mrs. Ritter, Spencer and Mr. Eisenhower!  They just always made you feel like you were special.  Loved my bus drivers!   Mrs. Bonham My bus driver was my dad! He actually let me ride his route with him. My favorite memory is always sitting in the seat right behind him. He would look in the big mirror and wink at me! Mrs. McComb I remember Mrs. Baldridge... She was an elementary teacher and bus driver! She had a thick, long blonde braid all the way down her back. I always wondered if she accidentally sat on it sometimes because it was so long! She was so kind to all of the students. I think she was the one who would stop at the tiny convenience store in the middle of nowhere (Washington Store???)  to let us get giant pop-ice on really hot days!  Mrs. Salcido I remember my bus driver Chuck, he would talk like Donald Duck. We all thought he was so funny!!  #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Wednesday- Read Across America Week!! Exercise your brain and read!! Wear exercise clothes or red! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

These 1st graders are not only excited to be back at school this week but they are super excited to be back outside for recess!!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Douthitt’s class worked on practicing their letters with some green eggs and ham!!! It was also wear green day at school!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🚌 We 💛 our Bus Drivers!!! 🚌 Yesterday we had cute signs and notes and even their favorite SONIC DRINKS for our drivers!!! It was so fun to be outside waiting for them and cheering for them when they pulled up to the school!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Read Across America week started today!!! Our dress up day for today was “Roll out of bed and read!” Wear pj’s or blue. Mrs. James has a lot of fun activities planned this week!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Wallis took time to meet with all of her students yesterday!!! We are so thankful for this technology that allows one on one help while distance learning. We also had a couple students enjoy Mrs. James read them a book!!! I’m so glad they were still able to enjoy their library time from home!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

We’ve seen how our students distance learn now take a look at what our teachers have been doing. They have been meeting with other teachers and Mrs. Shuck. Some teachers have been having Google meets with their students also!! We are so excited about seeing you all in person on Monday!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

February Fitness!!! Mrs. Branco set up stations for her February Fitness activity. Classes participated in stations that focused on strength, balance and cardio training. Each group stayed at each station for 2 minutes before going to the next. They worked hard on their fitness while having fun. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Kindness continues on this National Random Acts of Kindness Day!!! Ms. Brewster's class wrote about how they would show kindness. Ms. Toop's class made kindness notes for people around the school. They enjoyed delivering their notes. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
