Claremore Robotics Teams Qualify for VEX Worlds
Claremore High School Robotics competed in the Native American VEX Showcase Robotics Competition in White River, Arizona. Claremore dominated the event taking almost every award in the VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) part of the tournament. Two teams received paid invitations to compete in the VEX World Robotics Competition in March! Claremore took six teams; the tournament's final four teams were all from Claremore! Claremore competed against over thirty teams from across the nation.
In addition to their stellar technical and design skills, Claremore was recognized for their positive attitude, good sportsmanship, and overall behavior throughout the event. Gannon Riggs won the Volunteer Award for his hard work and assistance at the tournament.
Team 9142C: Tournament Champions which qualifies them for the Worlds competition. They also won 1st Place Skills. Team 9142C - Kenadie Hofstetter, Gannon Riggs, Ethan Hayes, and Isaac Reedy.
Team 9142W: Tournament Champions which qualified them for the Worlds competition. Team 9142W - Elizabeth Reedy, Izzy Schweitzer, Alex Moore and Kynden Stone.
Team 9142B: Design Award and was a tournament finalist; the team includes Raegan Hofstetter, Chloe Reedy, Adeline Tripp, and Korben Fortna.
Team 9142A: 3rd place in Skills and was a tournament finalist; the team includes Jared Young, Kinsey Singer, Edward Alexander, and Ashton Keegan.
Team 9142Y: Ranked 20th in Qualifications; the team includes Andrew Richards, Caroline Lee, and Zaber Matin.
Team 9142D: Won the Amaze Award; the team includes Alex England, Gage Brooner, Kaden Fox, and Jacob Wright.
VEX Worlds will be held in Dallas, April 25-19, 2023.
