BUSES/TRANSPORTATION
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, the transportation department is working diligently to create the most efficient routes for our students who will ride a bus. To do that, we need your help. Please complete this Bus Rider Registration if you anticipate your child riding a CPS bus to/from school 80% of the time.
Please be on the lookout for an email Welcoming you to the StopFinder App. This app is our new transportation app that contains information regarding your student's bus schedule.
You can find more information about StopFinder, school site boundaries, bus handbook and more on our webpage.
CHILD NUTRITION, Free/Reduced Meals & Online Payments:
Due to a change at the federal level, school meals will no longer be free for all students this school year. BPS calls on ALL families to complete the free/reduced lunch application, especially if you may qualify. This impacts our eligibility for various funding in our schools! Everything from technology, student remediation, transportation, professional development for teachers, and even the district's ability to receive grants depends upon the completion of these applications by families who may qualify. You can find guidelines, applications, payment, prices, etc., on our webpage.
If students would like to enjoy a school meal or something extra via a la carte, they will need to pay cash or have money on their MySchoolBucks account. For questions or concerns, please contact the child nutrition department at 918-923-4243.

COMMUNICATIONS
Communications Update/CPS App Information
We hear you, Zebras! In the past, information came to families from too many different platforms. The district has made a concerted effort to streamline our families' communications as much as possible. School sites will share more details as August approaches, and for now… there are two VERY IMPORTANT TO-DO ITEMS:
- Download the CPS App if you do not already have it and be sure your settings are set to allow notifications. Apple or Android.
- Ensure your phone numbers and email addresses are correct in the parent portal.

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION
AUGUST 11 - Claremore High School's annual freshman orientation program will be 8:30 AM - 11 AM. This program introduces students to the high school campus with tours of the facilities, a variety of team-building activities, and all things that instill #CPSZEBRAPRIDE.
The event is staffed by CHS administrators, teachers, and FUZE mentors (juniors and seniors). The morning will start with a brief parent meeting introducing you to staff, new policies, and procedures. Following this meeting, the #CHSClassof2026 will be paired with FUZE mentors in small groups for the daily activities. The mentors will also work to connect with the students throughout the year as they navigate the success, challenges, and experiences this new year will bring.
"Freshman orientation is designed to connect students with the people, places, and information they need to be successful in high school," said CHS Principal - Dr. Kenny Hindenburg. "We hope that participation in orientation will help students feel at home so they may grow personally and academically."
To lay the groundwork for a successful 2022-23 high school year, incoming CHS freshmen are encouraged to attend this orientation.
