COLLEGE CONNECTION WORKSHOPS
Students, your high school graduation will be here before you know it. College may still be a big mystery to you, or you may have had other siblings pave the way for you. If you have NOT applied for college but are still interested in attending college you are invited to register for the 7th COLLEGE CONNECTION hosted by NHS on Monday, April 19th.
Getting into college and paying for college can seem like an overwhelming task. However, you just need a PLAN that includes taking the right courses, getting the right grades, navigating the financial aid - including OK Promise and scholarships, as well as building a resume that will maximize your opportunities, making your college essays stand out, applying to scholarships, and even completing that college application.
At the COLLEGE CONNECTION workshops, college representatives will lead from OU, NSU, OCU & TU, and other specialists that will help you navigate your plans. You do not have to be attending these colleges to learn from these reps. They will present information that will apply to all colleges. These presentations & seminars will be interactive.
Due to limited seating and COVID protocols, you will need to register for this event. You can see the schedule and register here.
This event is open to all current 10th & 11th graders and 12th graders who have not completed the college application process. We also have 2 workshops for girls who have been accepted into college and are interested in going through the sorority formal recruitment process at the larger universities.
For more information, you can email jbrace@claremore.k12.ok.us.
NHS members do receive IN-CLUB points for attending this event. Greek Life Sorority Recruitment is only open to senior girls attending the larger universities (OU, OSU, UCO, UofA, etc).
