Q - Why is it important to get involved and make a difference in high school?

It is important to get involved and make a difference in high school because there are many young people who aspire to be leaders too. I find it important to set a good example and aim to inspire others to become leaders in their own unique way. Whether that means having a title or just being a part of something.

Q - If you had to create a 140 character tweet to describe you what would it be?

I am a Leader of three clubs at Claremore High School, who enjoys working and staying busy. I am from England and have a passion for animals

Q - Who is a mentor or role model who inspired you & why?

The person who has inspired me the most would be Matt Boyer, he is my FFA adviser and one of the most positive and hardworking people that I have met so far in life. No matter what is thrown at him he will get through it and will motivate others to do the same. He has helped me achieve goals that were higher than I would have ever thought possible.

Q - If you knew me better you’d know I …

I moved to America from England in order to fulfill my goals for my future. Moving has been one of the greatest things to happen in my life. By being in America I have been able to join clubs that enable me to be around people that share similar passions as I do and choose classes tailored to my interests.

Q - What are your dreams for your future?

After high school, I plan to study at OSU to work towards majoring in Pre-veterinary Medicine. I then hope to attend Veterinary school to become a Veterinarian Surgeon.

Q - What legacy do you want to leave here at CHS?

I would like to leave Claremore High School knowing that I was able to be a part of organizations larger than myself all while helping to lead and work with the people in my community.

Q - What do you love about Claremore Public Schools?

There are many things to love about Claremore Public schools, one of the main ones being the variety and high standard of education. I am so thankful to be able to attend a high school that provides many different classes, clubs, and activities so everyone can find something that they are passionate about.

Q - How long have you attended CPS & elementary school in the district?

I have been in Claremore public schools for four years, all of high school.

Q - Favorite piece of pop culture and why (book, movie, tv-show, podcast, band, social media influencer):

Doctor Mike is a social media influencer who is not only entertaining but educates thousands of people and encourages them to not be ignorant when it comes to medical information.

Q - What has it been like to lead through this pandemic?

It has been a greater challenge to lead through this pandemic, and this year my teams and I have realized that communication is key. Many people have to miss school for many reasons such as being quarantined. But we also still wanted everyone to feel included. We had to expand our ways of communication with our members, such as expanding the social media websites. As the Claremore FFA Officer team, we created a monthly newsletter that is sent out to all students in AG ED and the teachers here at Claremore High School

Q - How has attending school through a pandemic grown you positively as a person?

Going through school has grown me positively as a person because I am now able to see things from a different perspective. Previously I may have been looking at all of the events and activities that may have not happened and would be highly disappointed. However, now I am able to cherish the little things that I or the school is allowed to take part in. The little things are now some of the most meaningful and important parts of my life.
