CPS Staff receives COVID vaccines. @RCHD administers the largest number of vaccinations today.
CPS considers themselves fortunate to partner with the Rogers County Health Department to offer our staff the opportunity to receive the COVID vaccine today. Between this event and those previously vaccinated, approximately 60% of the staff will have at least their first dose of the COVID vaccination.
Our teachers were excited, optimistic, hopeful, and relieved as they moved through the process. CPS has been in person since August 20, 2020, due to the protocols they have in place. This vaccine is another added layer to those mitigating procedures in an effort to make the school and the community safer. It’s always been their goal to stay safe and stay in school.
We are proud and privileged to have the facilities to be selected as a point of distribution (POD) for our area. In addition to the CPS staff, the Rogers County Health Department was also able to vaccinate staff from Verdigris and Justus Tiawah. RCHD administered the largest number of vaccinations today with a count of a little over 1000 vaccines.
The RCHD has already scheduled March 5th and March 19th to return.
Today was truly a GREAT DAY TO BE A ZEBRA!
