**Thankful Thursday!** This week, we’re shining the spotlight on our amazing Tech Department! These rockstars (and Cheri, who always manages to escape the camera!) keep everything running smoothly. From computers to phones, Promethean boards to WiFi, they’re always ready to lend a helping hand. Recently, they went above and beyond by installing brand-new computers in our lab! We couldn’t do it without them! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

VETERANS DAY RISE AND SHINE
🌊 Catalayah’s 5th graders had an insightful visit from Mr. Vaughn with the City of Claremore’s Storm Water Department! He shared how stormwater—runoff from rain and snow that flows over surfaces like streets and parking lots—can pick up pollutants such as trash, oils, and chemicals, impacting our rivers, lakes, and water supply. By managing stormwater and reducing these pollutants, we can protect our environment and wildlife! 🌍🐟 Now, our students have a chance to creatively highlight these issues in an art contest. Posters showcasing the effects of pollutants on Claremore and our Earth are due to Mrs. Coffey by December 5th. The winning artwork will be displayed on a city trash truck, spreading the message far and wide! Let’s work together for a cleaner, healthier future! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

It's Election Day!!! Mrs. Meyers and Mrs. Chaney transformed their WIN groups into a mini polling station! Students registered with their own voter cards and cast votes on important topics like their favorite football team, top candy choice, and a school-wide debate — Question No. 838: Should we eliminate Ice Cream Day for the rest of the year? The students had a fantastic time learning about the voting process in a fun, hands-on way! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Zebra Family, The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Please be assured that CPS is closely monitoring the weather forecast. All sites have reviewed our safety protocols. We understand that parents/guardians may want to pick up their children through the proper channels. If you choose to do so, this will be an excused absence. However, we do not want to send children home without supervision; therefore, our buses will not run early. If the weather changes and we must delay the buses, we will notify you as soon as possible through the CPS Mobile App and the Stopfinder App.

Pouring Love into Education ❤️ This holiday season, add a little extra sweetness to your celebrations with Chick-fil-A sweet tea and lemonade. Our students are having a blast in computers class! It’s fun to see them mastering the use of a mouse instead of a finger or stylus. Starting as early as kindergarten, they’re even learning how to type using the home row keys! After completing their typing lessons they get to play a game! A big shoutout to Mrs. Sargent for her hard work in teaching them proper typing skills! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
