No Running Club Monday!

All 3rd graders in the district had the opportunity to make a diorama for the Will Rogers Memorial. They had a contest on all dioramas. Catalayah had a few finalist and a 1st place finish!!!! Congrats to everyone that took the time to participate in the contest. Everyone did such a great job! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Huge shoutout to our friends at Cedar Point and our amazing PTO for providing dinner for parent teacher conferences. Our staff members were able to enjoy a nice hot meal before conferences started. We appreciate everyone involved in providing these meals!!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

As we prepare to return to school on Monday, March 25th, we want to remind you that CPS will be closed for an extended holiday weekend on Friday, March 29th. This is no April Fool's joke; school will hop right back into session on April 1st, ready to finish the school year strong. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Newman's class hosted Rise and Shine a few weeks ago. After their special performance in Friday and invited her class and their families to the cafeteria to have donuts!!! They had a great time celebrating all their hard work! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

We are so fortunate to be able to have this wonderful outdoor space to read and do some work!!! Ms. Henry took her 5th grade Science classes outside!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Last week 4th grade students took a field trip to the ORU Mabee Center to watch a play!! After the play they got to enjoy a picnic at the park!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mr. D and our 3rd grade teachers took their students to Owasso for Link Up! Link Up is an educational resource that introduces students in grades 3–5 to the orchestra through an interactive curriculum. Students learn to sing and play an instrument in the classroom before performing with a professional orchestra in their community. Our 3rd graders performed 5 songs with the Tulsa symphony Orchestra 2 on recorder, 2 singing, one with rhythmic clapping. They did such a great job and had fun!

Mrs. Ritters 5th grade class published their own book!!! This year the book is about sports. Each student had to pick a sport, research and illustrate their page. They did such a great job!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Cole's Pre-k classes read the story “The Littlest Leprechaun” and then went on a 4-leaf clover hunt! They were successful in finding 3!!! 🍀🍀🍀 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Psychologists say that people who enjoy wearing stripes are "often good at multitasking, have a lot going on in their lives, and wear many hats” and considering the ever-changing, bustling times we live in, it's probably a good thing that stripes are here to stay. We had some 4th and 5th graders go to Inola yesterday to compete in the Battle of the Brains!!! Some of our students placed and brought home ribbons! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
