One of our amazing students got 4th place in the Farm Bureau Week coloring contest. They had 6 schools return entries and about 1900 coloring sheets. Students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade were able to participate. Camryn in Mrs. Haltmar's 2nd-grade class won 4th place!!! Each participating school also received a CASE IH Casey & Friends book donated to their school library. Thank you Rogers County Farm Bureau for letting us participate in the coloring contest! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

🚍 Happy Bus Driver Appreciation Day! 🚍 Even though the snow has kept us apart today, we want to take a moment to celebrate our amazing bus drivers! Every day, rain or shine (or snow!), they go the extra mile to keep our students safe and get them where they need to be. Their kindness, patience, and dedication do not go unnoticed, and we are beyond grateful for all they do! It looks like another "Slip, Slide, and Stay Inside Day" on Friday, February 21st. Due to the continued weather, dangerous roads, parking lots, and sidewalks, Claremore Public Schools will be closed again tomorrow. While we always strive to keep schools open, safety remains our top priority. CPS after-school activities are canceled. The OSSAA state wrestling regional matches will proceed as scheduled on Friday. The 5A matches begin at 5 p.m. The OSSAA state swim meet has been rescheduled to the 24th and 25th. Check your Rooms for updates from your coaches and advisors. This will be an official “snow day,” so your assignment includes being safe, staying warm, and making a memory! Saturday was School Resource Officer Day. We were looking forward to celebrating Officer Hagen at school today but it looks like that’s going to have to wait a few more days. Officer Hagen is a dedicated and caring presence at Catalayah Elementary, always engaging with students and ensuring their safety. His enthusiasm and willingness to participate in activities, like PE games, make him a favorite among the kids. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Phyllis is a cherished part of Catalayah Elementary, serving up kindness and warm smiles in the cafeteria every single day. Today, we celebrate a huge milestone—her 80th birthday! As we honor this special day, we also want to recognize her years of dedication to our school and the love she has poured into every meal she’s served. With her retirement at the end of the year, she will be deeply missed, but her kindness and joyful spirit will always be a part of Catalayah! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

How sweet is this?!? Faith and Jarred met at Catalayah in 3rd grade and are now engaged! Jarred proposed to Faith on Valentine’s Day and she said yes! Faith and Jarred were dance partners in Mr J’s class. 💃🏼🕺🏼 They would both wear pink on picture days so they would match in the yearbook.💗 And in 4th grade Jarred gave Faith a stuffed lion holding a heart for Valentine’s Day that she still sleeps with every night! 🥹 Jarred said he wanted to get a bear that said the word love on it but his mom told him love is a very strong word. 🤣 We are so happy their journey began at Catalayah! Congratulations Jarred and Faith!!💍❤️🎉
