Mrs. Boyd's Native American Club read the story How Grandmother Spider Stole the Sun while they were making pinch pots. A pinch pot is a simple form of hand-made pottery that dates back over 12,000 years. The pinching method is to create pottery that can be ornamental or functional and has been widely employed across cultures and times. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

As you prepare to go back to school remember it is a good time to wash coats, hats, gloves, and book bags, etc. to help limit the spread of germs. You can also use disinfectant wipes on items like book covers, binders, folders, and other items that can’t be washed. Thanks for helping keep our students and staff healthy. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE #AttendanceMatters

MANY mini TEACHERS! Choir students in Mrs. Shilling's class at WRJH gave Music Theory Presentations this past term. Gear Up Parent Leadership Academy is a great way to be a part of helping CPS accomplish its mission and vision to increase student learning and achievement. Our vision is that ALL students will have the option to provide evidence of their learning in numerous ways. Gaining necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to achieve their dreams and become successful members of the community in which they live. Check out how they contributed to making this happen in our science department this year. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE Check out the article here in our news section: https://www.claremore.k12.ok.us/article/173831?org=cps
