
🤖 WRJH Robotics have been busy!
🏆Last weekend, they had a tournament and one of our teams won the Design Award and another team won the Excellence Award! Not to mention we also won the whole tournament! 🏆There was another tournament this weekend, and all teams represented WJRH well by winning the Skills Champion and Design Award!

🏆You're looking at the 2023 class 5A Academic Bowl area champions!!!
🚌This past weekend, the high school academic team traveled to Glenpool to compete in the class 5A area 3 tournament. They swept the competition, averaging 240 points per game!! 🤯
📅They will travel to OKC this weekend and compete at State on Saturday, Jan 28th!!
‼Since 1994, the CHS academic team has won 9 State Championships and 6 Runner Up titles. Let's cheer them on to another victory this weekend!! 👏🥇

Mrs. Ward’s class was reading a series focused on our planet and the sun and how shadows are formed. ☀They also read "The Black Rabbit", which is about a bunny and his shadow. 🐰During a sunny day at recess they remembered the stories and were interested in their own shadows! 🖤

Screen Free Coding! 🚫💻
1st and 2nd grade students got first hand experience in basic coding with coding mice! 🐭Coding mice give a screen-free experience to coding while activating students critical thinking, observation, and problem solving skills.

2nd grade students were visited by Mr. Chience - the science genius! 👨🔬🧪🔬Mr. Chience brought a science experiment for students to participate in and they had a blast!

Mrs. Hulse's English classes are learning all about figurative language. Students worked at different stations to review figurative language and collaborated in teams to write and discuss figurative language.

3rd graders at Catalayah are getting ready for the 4th annual Will Rogers Diorama Contest! Students will learn about Will Rogers and be inspired to create their own dioramas, which will be displayed and voted for at the Will Rogers Memorial!
Cowboy Bart 🤠came and talked about the contest, did some really cool rope tricks, and also talked about Will Rogers and his life in Claremore.

Every couple of weeks, Mrs. Ratcliff draws a class to receive a prize to celebrate fun and often unknown national holidays!
Mrs. Campbell and her friends celebrated National Gourmet Coffee Day ☕with some tasty treats. These students loved trying coffee cakes and coffee candies. They especially loved how everything smelled. These seemingly simple moments bring so much joy!

During STEM club, students were challenged to design and make the tallest card tower. 🃏 Many teams modified their original plan to create a more stable tower. The biggest one (before falling) was 20 inches tall!! 📏

Students in Mrs. Harrison and Mrs. Cochranes class learn about research techniques using google. 💻 Mrs. Troyer walked them through identifying key words, using the Google tools function and how to identify reputable websites!
