Advancing Leadership: CPS & Southern Nazarene University Partner for Educators to Earn their Masters in Educational Leadership (Exclusive to CPS Staff Members)
Claremore Public Schools (CPS) is committed to investing in the growth and success of our educators. As part of this commitment, we are proud to announce a partnership with Southern Nazarene University (SNU) to offer a Master of Educational Leadership (MAEL) program designed to develop future school leaders right here in our district.
This initiative provides CPS educators with an exclusive opportunity to advance their careers while continuing to serve our students and community. Through a cohort model hosted by CPS, educators can complete their master’s degree with on-site classes once a week and instruction led by SNU faculty and Claremore district administrators.
"Great schools start with great leaders. By creating opportunities for our educators to advance within our district, we are supporting their professional growth and ensuring that our students benefit from experienced, passionate leaders who are deeply committed to their success. This program is another step forward in our mission to cultivate excellence in Claremore Public Schools," Mr. Bryan Frazier shared.
By offering this program, CPS is supporting our teachers in their professional development and building a strong leadership pipeline for the future. The program has significant benefits, including a 33% tuition reduction and Title I teacher loan forgiveness eligibility for those who qualify. Most importantly, this initiative ensures that CPS continues cultivating high-quality, homegrown leaders deeply connected to our district’s culture, values, and educational vision.
The CPS Board of Education approved the proposal for this partnership in September, and the first class was held at the end of October. As we move forward, we look forward to sharing more details with our community and continuing to create meaningful opportunities for our educators.
At CPS, we believe that when we invest in our teachers, we invest in the future of our students.
