Claremore, OK – August 22, 2024 – Claremore High School is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Meranda Golbek as the new Assistant Principal. A proud alumna of Claremore High School, Ms. Golbek brings experience, a deep passion for education, and a commitment to fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment for all students.

Ms. Golbek’s journey to educational leadership began at Claremore High School, where she initially envisioned a career in medicine. However, her path took an unexpected turn at Oklahoma State University, where she discovered her passion for teaching. This newfound calling led her back to her alma mater, where she has since dedicated herself to positively impacting students’ lives.

Ms. Golbek has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement throughout her career at Claremore High School. She has been actively involved in various school-wide committees and was instrumental in implementing comprehensive scheduling software to enhance the effectiveness of the Response to Intervention (RTI) program. Her contributions have provided her with invaluable insights into the inner workings of school operations and the importance of partnership in achieving success.

Ms. Golbek is also a graduate of the first Claremore Public Schools Aspiring Administrators Academy, an experience she describes as transformative. "The Academy expanded my perspective on the complexities of school leadership and deepened my appreciation for the intricate decision-making processes that drive school success," said Ms. Golbek.

As the new Assistant Principal, Ms. Golbek’s primary goal is to build meaningful connections with students and work closely with teachers to support the school’s commitment to excellence. "Claremore High School is a beacon of innovation and continuous improvement," she shared. "My mission is to further this legacy by pushing the boundaries of what our students can achieve and creating an environment where collaboration among educators, administrators, and the community propels our students to new heights."

Ms. Golbek is passionate about enhancing student engagement and participation in school activities. She believes helping students discover their unique interests is crucial for a fulfilling high school experience and academic success. Her fervent belief in this principle will inspire and motivate students to explore their potential and excel in their chosen fields. "When students find their niche, they not only enjoy their time at school more but also tend to achieve at higher levels," she explained.

Her leadership style is deeply rooted in collaboration and teamwork. She recognizes that a school's strength lies in the collective expertise of its faculty and staff. Ms. Golbek is committed to fostering an environment of honesty, transparency, and support where every member of the school community feels valued and empowered to contribute. She ensures that everyone's voice is heard and respected.

As a CHS alumna, Ms. Golbek is deeply honored to return to her roots and be part of the leadership team guiding Claremore High School’s continued innovation and success.
