🔴What advice would you give your freshman self? Never be afraid to try new things. Do not let your nerves, insecurities, or doubts hold you back. You only get to be in high school once, so make it memorable and fun.

🔴What has this journey taught you about yourself? That I am a lot more happy and confident when I step out of my comfort zone and try something new.

🔴What were the hardest challenges you had to overcome to achieve this honor? The academic struggle of taking difficult classes and pushing through was the most difficult thing for me. To be a valedictorian, you have to take advantage of the honors and AP classes. These classes made for a more difficult semester and took a lot of perseverance to make sure I was staying on top of my grades.

🔴What does this accomplishment mean to you? This accomplishment proves that all of my hard work has paid off. The past four years, I have strived to be where I am today, and it is finally paying off senior year as my future is coming together.

🔴What are you most proud of in your high school career? I am most proud of qualifying for the Vex Robotics Worlds Championship all four years of high school.

🔴Looking back on your school experience at CPS, what does being a Zebra mean to you? High School is about building the foundation for your future. To me, being a zebra is being a part of the community that builds that future.

🔴What elementary staff member made the biggest impact on your life, and how? Mrs. Willard. She is now the principal at Roosa Elementary, but when I attended, she was the counselor. She is one of the sweetest and kindest-hearted individuals I have ever met. When I was in elementary school, I was very shy and sensitive, and she was always so comforting and encouraging. Even now, she is still one of my biggest supporters, and I am always happy to see her bright, smiling face.

🔴What junior high staff member made the biggest impact on your life, and how? Mr. David Isenbart. He is technically a high school teacher, but I have had the opportunity to be his student since 7th grade. He has been my biggest mentor, devoting endless hours to robotics and pouring his time and energy into his students. He is the person I strive to be in the future. Through him, I have formed endless memories that I will carry forever, and he has truly shaped my life. I am forever thankful for everything he has done for me.

🔴What high school staff member made the biggest impact on your life, and how? Mrs. Hammack and Mrs. Stiedley are a package deal. They are my Pre-Engineering teachers here at CHS and are some of my biggest supporters. They are always available to help with any needs.

🔴What activities have you been involved in? AP/Pre-AP Programs, Chemistry Club, Concurrent courses, Math Club, NTC, Robotics, SkillsUSA, TSA, SADD, SAGA, Student Council, Young Democrats, Young Republicans, and the Career Development Program

🔴What is the one thing you will absolutely take with you to college? Though this is redundant, it is so important to me that I will follow my own advice never to shy away from trying something new.
