Incredible Showmanship at Tulsa State Fair: Claremore FFA's McKenzie Boyer Brings Home First Ever Champion Market Hog
Claremore FFA member, McKenzie Boyer, left her mark at the Tulsa State Fair (TSF) with a display of talent and dedication. Over the course of 11 days, she showcased her hard work at the TSF livestock shows, and her hard work paid off.
McKenzie's dedication was evident as she secured two division champion titles with her Open Hereford Heifers. In addition, she clinched a reserve division champion title with her Junior Hereford Heifer. The pinnacle of her success, however, came when she was crowned the Champion Duroc Market Barrow. McKenzie is the first in Claremore FFA history to have a champion Duroc or a champion market swine of any breed.
The excitement didn't stop there. McKenzie earned the honor of competing in the prestigious Night of Champions Grand Champion drive with her champion Duroc. Amongst fierce competition, she made her mark by being selected as the 5th overall market hog out of an impressive 389 entries at the Tulsa State Fair.
McKenzie Boyer's achievements earned her a cash prize of $2,500, a Breed Champion Buckle, and numerous individual cash and prize donations, further celebrating her hard-earned success.
Apart from her livestock achievements, she is a member of the State Winning & National Runner-Up TSA Parliamentary Procedure Team, a member of the State Qualifying Agriculture Communications Team, and she serves as the Claremore FFA chapter Reporter, where her dedication to the community and her passion for agriculture continue to shine.
Congratulations, McKenzie, and way to represent Claremore!🦓🌽💙🐖
