‼️Running Club resumes this Wednesday, February 5th! 🏃🏽♀️ 🏃🏿
Pick up is at 3:50. 🚗

Ms. Lang created a poster with the most checked out books of 2024. Cat Kid Comic Club was checked out 129 times last year! 📕

February lunch menus 🥗🌯🌭🌮

Relationships matter. 💪🏽
This student and Ms. Pilant have built a connection and he paid his homeroom teacher Zebra Bucks to read to Ms. Pilant's 3rd grade class.

Pre-K had a Disney themed week! They got to incorporate Disney characters into their learning, dress up, and they even got a visit from Snow White (Mrs. Lyons)!

Westside's very own Honor Choir, led by Mr. Levesque, performed at Circle the State in Song at Owasso with other surrounding schools. 🎶
So many hours of practice, early mornings and dedication had to happen to prepare for this event!

You aren't seeing double, just our fun twinning students rocking their twinning vibes. Great minds think alike—and clearly, they dress alike too! 🦓🦓

Ms. Peterson's class has been working hard on phonics, and they took a brain break that involved beginning sounds!
We love learning while getting out the wiggles! ♥️🦓

Learning + movement = success 💪
Students in Ms. Peterson's room have been working on beginning sounds with movement!

Tremendously Terrific Typing ⭐️
Typing Club is in full swing in Mrs. James computer class! When students pass certain levels, they get stars to decorate and add to the wall. 💻

Mrs. Campbell has been working on jump roping skills with all grades throughout Westside in PE!
Some of the older students have been participating in a 1-minute jump rope challenge and they get to sign their name on this poster if they surpass 1 minute! It's much harder than it looks!

Important drop off reminders ‼‼
The front of the school is reserved for buses and daycare vans only! All other students being dropped off will need to be dropped off behind the school. The big loop allows students to be dropped off as early as 7:25am, and the small loop at 7:40am. Students should not be dropped off before then unless they are here for a special club meeting. After 7:50am, students will need to be walked into the office and checked in by their parent/guardian.

You know it's a great day when you get to eat lunch with your teacher!
We love catching students building relationships with their teachers and friends. ♥️🦓

Snack cart will be available for students tomorrow!

Mr. McClurg and his 5th grade class worked on optical illusions and geometric shapes 🔻🔸🔹▪️

Mrs. Barbee's kindergarten WIN group has been sounding out CVC words while using gross motor skills with a cut up twister mat. 🟢🔵🟡🟣

Mrs. Campbell has brought out the parachute! Students all across Westside have gotten to experience the joy this parachute brings. They've worked together creating a giant bubble and took turns playing games inside the parachute! 💛💚🧡💜

Cross-curricular action in music! 🎶
Students in Mr. Levesque's music class bounced balls to the beat as they sang along to a song! 🎵 🎶

Hey, Zebra family…. nothing is more important than keeping you and your children safe and healthy. Due to recent snowfall and freezing temperatures, Claremore Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 21st.
Your only assignment is to MAKE A MEMORY! After the roads are re-evaluated tomorrow, participation in after-school activities, athletics, and competitive events will be determined and communicated as soon as possible. Updates will be on all CPS platforms (Website, Mobile App, Facebook, Twitter & Email) and local TV stations. Download the app on Android or iPhone. Make sure your contact information is up to date on your parent portal. Be safe, stay warm, and make it “A Great Day To Be A Zebra.”

Last Thursday, the Winter weather began before school let out. Ms. Johnson and her 4th graders made memories by catching as many snowflakes as they could in 60 seconds! ❄️
