🌟 February 14, 2025, is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! 🌟
Today, we celebrate and thank Officer Hagen for his dedication and commitment to keeping our school safe and secure.
Westside is so grateful for his hard work and the positive impact he has on our students and staff every day. 🙏💙

Westside Elementary is 100 days smarter! Students all over the building celebrated the 100th day by dressing like a 100 year old, counting to 100 in different ways, having 100 second challenges and making memories! 💯💯👵👴

Reminders for Valentines Day this Friday:
💝students will not be allowed to take glass or balloons on bus.
💝if your child is sent these items, they will need to be a car rider.

Recently, Westside celebrated our very own School Counselor, Mrs. Lyons, during National School Counseling Week! From supporting students to teaching social skills in the classroom, Mrs. Lyons wears many different hats and is very appreciated at Westside! ❤🧸

Kindergarten has been learning about arctic/polar animals. They viewed snow under a microscope and also did a blubber experiment to learn how the animals stay warm! 🐻❄️ 🐧 ❄️

📅 Monday, February 17th, Claremore Public Schools will be CLOSED in observance of Presidents Day!
Here are a few quotes to ponder as you rest, relax, and ready yourself to finish the school year strong.
🤝"We must dare to be great; and we must realize that greatness is the fruit of toil and sacrifice and high courage." – Teddy Roosevelt
🤝"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader." – John Quincy Adams
🤝"Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction." – John F. Kennedy
Enjoy your long weekend, and make it A Great Day to Be a Zebra!

One of Westside's 4th grader teachers, Ms. Taber, gets snacks from all over the world & shares with her students.

How Sick Is Too Sick For School?
Tis the season in Oklahoma - sniffling, sneezing, coughing, headache, fever, tummy aches, nausea, etc.
We miss our students when absent, but sometimes they need to recover at home; how do you make that decision? CPS encourages following the Oklahoma State Department of Health guidelines. These guidelines will help the child recover and protect against the spread of illnesses to other students and staff.
Remember, students/staff should only return to school after being fever-free, vomiting or diarrhea-free for 24 hours without medication.
