First and second grade students recently traveled to the Robson Performing Arts Center to experience the talented Tulsa Opera. For many students this was their first time experiencing live opera music. Tulsa's talent performed Space Encounters with fun audience participation. Big shout out to Mrs. Gaylord and the Tulsa Opera for spreading love for the musical arts, and making big things happen at Claremore Schools! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Westside 5th graders participated in their first book club meeting led by our amazing librarian, Ms. Lang! They are currently reading the mystery, The Secret Starling. Mrs. Hinks' fifth grade students were over the moon with this activity! In this edible astronomy activity, Westies recreated the different phases of the moon with Oreo cookies. This looks both fun and tasty! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

The Westside Honor Choir recently joined elementary and junior high students from across the district to perform for their families and community. They have spent time before and after school preparing for this performance. Mrs. Gaylord did an incredible job preparing these Westies, and the audience was blown away. They even sang in different languages! We are so proud of our Westsiders and their involvement in the musical arts! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Today, the Men's RSU Soccer team joined Westside students and staff in Rise and Shine. Students wanted to thank Coach Larkin and his team for donating soccer nets for the goals on our playground. Westside students have been so grateful for this generous contribution and had so much fun getting to see the Hillcats in person. One of the players even included former Westside student, Blake Classen. RSU continues to display their leadership as they support Claremore Schools. If you get a chance tomorrow, head up the hill to support the RSU Hillcats as they play at 5pm and 7pm. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year is now open! All families must complete enrollment every year. Enrollment may be completed entirely online, and we recommend using a desktop or laptop computer to enroll. If you do not have access to a computer, or if you need enrollment assistance, the CPS Enrollment Center has computers and scanners available and will be happy to help. They are open daily from 8a - 4p (arrive by 3:30p). You are now able to enroll your current students for the 2023-2024 school year by accessing the student records portal through this link https://ok.wengage.com/claremore. Please watch the video instructions or follow the written instructions to update the necessary information and complete the 2024 school year enrollment. This applies to current and new students. Westside students of all ages are making gains in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We are so excited to see more and more individuals place their name on the math wall. Do you remember who taught you to tell time? First grade students have started identifying parts of a clock and telling time to the hour and half hour. Mrs. Sanders guides her fantastic first graders in practicing this skill in their workbook. They really enjoyed practicing with analog clocks! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

The Oklahoma Caring Van will provide FREE immunizations for children at the Claremore enrollment center March 21st & 23rd from 10a - 12p. A parent/guardian must complete the required paperwork. Services will be provided to children who are uninsured, Medicaid eligible, or American Indian. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE
