Ms. Frosts science classes did a lab using sand, rocks, water and a pool noodle to create waves and to see how waves can affect the movement of sand, creating barrier islands. 🌊 🏝️
This is part of a science curriculum that Ms. Frost is piloting for the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance called OpenSciEd.

Running Club will resume in February! 🗓️

Before break, Mrs. Sweets 2nd graders went on a Turkey Mystery Mission full of math review and reading challenges. 🦃 ➕➖📖
They also had a "Turkeyriffic Day" and had a thanksgiving feast, Charlie Brown Style. 😎

Mrs. Campbell, Westside's P.E. teacher hosted a "Hoop Shoot" contest. The top boy and girl in each grade level (2nd-5th) that shot and made the most free throws got to take home a plaque. 🏀⛹🏽⛹🏻♀️

With 15 school days until Winter Break, Santa and CPS staff want to welcome you back from Thanksgiving break and remind you it's essential to FINISH STRONG. That is 105 hours of instructional time and 6,300 minutes of learning. ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
See you back in class tomorrow morning.
