Did you know yesterday was National Oreo Cookie Day? Mrs. Ward's class celebrated by eating Oreos and writing about it! They used the transition words first, then, and last to describe how they like to eat an Oreo! Yum! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

It's time to record a new chapter in our Spring Break Edition of our #ZebraTravelDiaries. If you are going on a vacation or staycation, remember to wear your zebra gear and take a photo for our #ZebraTravelDiaries. Send your photo (wearing your Zebra gear), name, school, and where you are to jbrace@claremore.k12.ok.us.  If you are out of town let us know when you’ll be home; we’ll wait to post the photo until you return.   We’ll see you back in class on Monday, March 20th. The weather looks good for Running Club Monday!

Remember Spring Break begins on FRIDAY, March 10th, this year. All CPS offices and campuses will be closed from Friday, March 10th through Friday, March 17th. Relax - read a book…for fun, play a board game, put together a puzzle, paint a picture, have a family meal; whatever you do MAKE A MEMORY. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

We had some special guests this morning for the Claremore High School Volleyball team!!! These sweet girls showed off their dance moves at Rise and Shine then demonstrated some volleyball for us!! The High School Volleyball team is hosting a camp during Spring Break and one this summer. I have attached the flyers for both!! Thank you Lady Zebras for coming by this morning! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Miss Jarrett (Mrs. Ward's student teacher) read “After the Fall, How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up” today. Humpty faced his fears and got back up on the wall only to discover he was a bird! Then the students wrote about a time they were brave! 💕 #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

Mrs. Newman's class has been learning all about Dr. Seuss. They even made green eggs!! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

We have 2 finalist!!! Our friends from Sodexo came by with great news. Two Catalayah students have been chosen to move on to the next round of the Future Chef Competition!!!!! They will be competing live next week! Great job kids and good luck! #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

These are BEAUTIFUL!!! Mrs. Coffey and her 3rd-5th Art Classes made these amazing pictures. First they picked out their picture, then glued yarn around the picture, covered that with aluminum foil and last they colored their picture. #CPSZEBRAPRIDE

This morning we kicked off Read Across America Week!!! We have already had some wonderful guest readers!! Mrs. James has a coloring contest for Pre K- 2nd, and a Bookmark Design Contest for 3rd-5th. 1 winner per grade level, and the winners will receive Book Fair money!!
