Each year, Ms. Palmer's 3rd grade class dives into an exciting postcard exchange, connecting with classrooms nationwide to learn fascinating facts about different states. This week, their journey begins as they explore the wonders of Oklahoma! From researching to writing and typing, our students are crafting unique postcards filled with interesting tidbits about the Sooner State. 📝✨

In Mrs. James' computer class, these 4th graders are taking their typing skills to the next level with Typing Club! 🌟 They're working hard on building muscle memory and mastering the home row keys, laying the foundation for efficient and accurate typing. Their progress is displayed outside the classroom as they earn platinum stars for exceeding expectations and demonstrating improvement.
With each milestone reached, such as earning 20 platinum stars for the big star, they're not only honing their digital literacy but also boosting their confidence! 💻✨

Miss Taber's fourth grade class has been using science by starting mini greenhouses in class. Students grew sprouts from beans, ziplock bags & damp paper towels and ended up with their very own sprouts to keep! 🌱 🌱
This hands-on experiment looks so fun, and these fourth graders are showing their love for nature by the smiles on their faces! 🪴

“Oh the places you’ll go” day (or wear blue) was today at Westside! Our students were buzzing with excitement to see teachers and friends dressed in attire from their past travels. From New York to California, students shared stories from their past trips.
